Twerton City Rollers 5 (8) v No Hopers 0 (0)
In a clash of unbeaten teams the Rollers prevailed. They opened proceedings with a leg of 46 to lead 1-0. No Hopers came back with 42 but the Rollers did just enough on anchor to lead 2-0 with a 43. A 48 took it to 3-0 and facing 38 made it 4-0 with 49. A show of 43 then completed the rout. Simon Dimbylow shared 32 with Paula Sage and Matt R James scored 35.

Ivory Toast 5 (8) v Jelly Beans 1 (1)
Ivory opened with 41 only to see the Beans lead with 51. They dropped to 41 and Ivory levelled on anchor with 45. A 54 saw them lead 2-1 and facing 46 from Jelly Beans led 3-1 on anchor with 47. A show of 49 made it 4-1 and beat a show of 45 on anchor with 46 to win the game. Dom Hall had 41 and Darren Rosser 43.

Police 1 (1) v Bluecoat House 5 (8)
Police showed 41 but Bluecoat took an early lead on anchor with 44. A show of 46 just made it 2-0 and as Police dropped to 32 a 44 took it to 3-0. Bluecoat hit 50 to lead 4-0 but Police took their leg with 40. Bluecoat showed 43 and Police just failed to save the game with 42. Allan Taylor had 40 and Terry Clark 38.

RUH Porters 1 (1) v Bards 5 (8)
Porters opened with 50 but Bards led on anchor with 51 and showed back 48 to easily lead 2-0. A 55 beat 45 for a 3-0 lead and a show of 62 with 14sp from Pete Lemmy made it 4-0. Martin Pratt had 10sp in a 54 to help Porters win their leg but Bards won the game with a show of 52. Henry Guscott had 39 and Rog Northcott 46.

Police 2 (2) v No Hopers 5 (8)
Police started proceedings with 34 which was easily beaten by No Hopers with 42 who then showed back 37. Police levelled on anchor with 39 but dropped to show 36. No Hopers led 2-1 on anchor with 40 and a 44 made it 3-1. Police dropped to 29 and another 44 saw No Hopers lead 4-1. Police took their second leg with 42 but failed to beat 43 and lost the game. Martin Williams had 40 and Rob Sage 45.

An opening show of 51 saw the Rollers lead and facing 41 scored 49 helped by 11sp from James Dowbiggin.. A show of 45 made it 3-0 and facing a show of 39 took it to 4-0 on anchor with 41. A score of 47 then secure the spoils. 31 was shared by Simon Dimbylow, Rob Baron, Rob Richardson and James Dowbiggin. The same score was held by Marmaduke Hatfield.

Bards started with 42 but Bluecoat led on anchor with 46 and though they dropped to 43 it was enough for a 2-0 lead as Bards missed out on anchor with a tied 43. They raised their game to show 51 to win the third but again Bluecoat won a leg on a tied 43 to lead 3-1. A 43 from Bards let Bluecoat in to lead 4-1 with a 54 including 12sp from Janet Hosking. Bluecoat showed back 45 and Bards won their second leg with a 54 and with Pete Lemmy having 14sp a 47 took the score to 3-4. Bluecoat came back with their 48 but Bards fell away with 35 to lose. Mike Nash had 54 and Janet Hosking 58.

Bluecoat opened with a 38 and easily led 1-0. Bards came back to level with a 33, only to see Bluecoat just lead 2-1 with 37. Bards made it 2-2 with 38 and led for the first time by beating 27 with 38. They dropped to show 27, and Bluecoat levelled with 39. They showed 37, but Bards led 4-3 on anchor with 41, and a show of 38 won Bards the game. Rod Walton had 52, and Pete Lemmy had 45.

No Hopers won the opener with a show of 46 and then beat a 34 with 55. They dropped to 42 and Police won their leg with 47. They showed 42 but No Hopers led 3-1 with 47. A 48 made it 4-1 and facing 42 just won the game with the anchor taking 3 in a 43. Matt R James had 39 and Martin Williams 37.

They showed back 46 and Ivory just missed out with 43. They hit 46 but it needed the Rollers to win the game on anchor with 47. Marmaduke Hatfield had 35 and Paula Sage shared 35 with Andy Richman.

Jelly Beans 34 and led 1-0 against 30 from Porters, who showed back 9 to level at 1-1. Jelly Beans dropped to 32 and Porters led with 37. They showed back 39 and the Beans levelled on anchor with 40 and took the lead with 43. Porters levelled at 3-3 on a tied 40 but the Beans led 4-3 with a sow of 47. Facing only 27 they ran out winners with a 40. Darren Rosser had 48 and Dave Clarke 48.

Bluecoat opened with a lowly 35 and Bards took full advantage to lead by 12 pins with a 47. A 43 from Bards increased the lead to 13 pins and facing 34 from Bluecoat in the third led by 21 pins with a 42. A show of 43 then saw Bards lead by 23 pins. One good leg and one bad leg could make all the difference with the pins cup. The fifth leg was one of them. Bluecoat scored 49 and Bards buckled with 35 to lead by only 9 pins. They scored 41 but Bluecoat hit 46 to trail by only 4 pins. They hit 47 leaving Bards to score 44 to win. They went well but just missed out. Rod Walton had 44 and Paddy Hopkins 45.

Porters opened with 39 only to see the Rollers take a 7 pin lead with 46. They dropped to 42 and Porters reduced the deficit to 2 pins with a 47. They hit 43 but the Rollers gained a further 3 pins with a 46. They then scored 52 and Porters hit only 36 to trail by 26 pins. A 50 was good in the fifth but the Rollers beat it with 51. They dropped to 41 and Porters pulled back 6 pins with 47 and scored 46 leaving the Rollers 31 to win. They did that easily with 51. Ken Fry shared 44 with Martin Pratt and Paula Sage had 47.

The Toast opened with a 49 leg to Take a slender 1 pin lead. Poice came back with 46 but Ivory increased their lead to 12 pins which went to 19 pins with a 48. Police hit 49 in the fourth to reduce the deficit to 13 pins. Ivory gained 3 pins in the fifth but then faced 52 from Police in the sixth. Ivory were struggling but up stepped Marmaduke Hatfield with 12sp on anchor to level the leg. They hit 51 leaving Police with too much to do but they did pull 2 pins with 53. Marmaduke Hatfield had 52 and Jonathan Williams 49.

No Hopers started the game with a leg of 41 and held a 4-pin advantage. Jelly Beans hit another 37 and No Hopers gained another pin with 42. They showed 42 but Jelly Beans recovered that pin with a 43. They dropped to 40 and No Hopers took full advantage with a 49 leg to lead by 17 pins. A 43 from No Hopers increased their lead to 21 pins. Jelly Beans dropped to 35 and a 46 from No Hopers gave them a healthy 32-pin lead. A final leg of 47 secured passage to the semi-finals for No Hopers. Matt R James had 45 and Harry shared 41 with Darren Rosser.

Jelly Beans opened proceedings with 38 but Bards led on anchor with 39. Bards dropped to 32 and the Beans levelled on anchor with 33. They showed 32 and Bards regained the lead on anchor with 35. They showed 36 but the Beans levelled at 2-2 on anchor with 41 but dropped to show 27 in the fifth. Bards retook the lead on anchor with 30 but their drop to 25 let the Beans in to level at 3-3 with 33 and showed 40. Bards collapsed to 21 to trail 3-4 and showed back 31. Jelly Beans won the game on anchor with 35. Ian Humphries had 46 and Rich Morris 43.

Porters hit 47 but No Hopers took the early lead with 54. A show of 50 then made it 2-0. Porters hit their third consecutive 47 to win the leg despite 9sp from Matt R James. No Hopers hit 48 but Porters made it 2-2 on anchor with 50 and a show of 53 with 12sp from Ken Fry saw them lead 3-2. No Hopers hit 51 and though Dave Clarke had 11sp Porters lost the leg on a tied 51. They showed back 43 but a 51 saw No Hopers lead 4-3 and a show of 49 just won the game. Ken Fry had 57 and Rob Sage 56.

Bluecoat showed 37 in the opener but the Rollers led with a 43. They showed back 42 but Bluecoat levelled on anchor with 43 and their show of 38 was sufficient to lead 2-1. The Rollers then showed a 45 to level at 2-2. Bluecoat won the fifth with 49 only to see the Rollers level at 3-3 with the same score. Bluecoat won the seventh with 50 including 10sp from Rob Davis. The Rollers made it 4-4 with a tied 38 and facing 33 from Bluecoat won the game on anchor with 39. Rob Davis shared 55 with Dick Hosking and Rob Barron 60.

Ivory Toast 2 (2) v Police 5 (8)
Ivory opened with 34 but it needed the Police anchor to win the leg in a 40. They showed back 42 and this time the Ivory anchor won the leg on anchor in a 47. They showed 45 but Police took a 2-1 lead with 55. They dropped to show back 42 despite only 9sp from debutant Tom Dunn playing out of position at number 7 rather than his favoured number 2. Ivory levelled with a 46 and showed 42. Police led 3-2 on anchor with 48 and then showed 50. Ivory went well but just missed out with 49. They showed 46 to try and stay in the game but the Police put paid to that with a 55. Marmaduke Hatfield had 46 and Tom Dunn led the line well with 49.

The Rollers took the opener with a show of 41 and facing 37 from Bluecoat made it 2-0 with a 44. They showed 47 and only just won the leg despite a valiant effort from Bluecoat losing on a tied leg. Not to be outdone they came back to win their leg on a tied 41. The Rollers led 4-1 with a 48 and facing 35 won the game with 47. Rob Richardson had 39 and Stuart Regan 42.

Police showed 42 but Ivory Toast led 1-0 on anchor with 48. They dropped to 34 and Police levelled with 41. They dropped to 35 and Ivory led 2-1 with a 42 and a 44 made it 3-1. Police showed 43 in the fifth only to see Ivory lead 4-1 on anchor with 46. Their show of 36 let Police in to win the sixth with 38 and a show of 53 won the seventh despite Marmaduke’s 10sp on anchor for Ivory.. They showed 44 and took the game. Martin Williams had 47 as did Marmaduke Hatfield.

A show of 51 then made it 4-0. Ivory hit back in the fifth with 50 to win their leg but No Hopers wrapped up proceedings in the sixth with 52. Cath Davidson had 42 for Ivory and Joe Rich likewise for No Hopers.

The Rollers showed an opening leg of 37 but the Porters led on anchor with 40. They showed back 38 but the Rollers won the leg on anchor with 41 and a show of 40 saw them lead 2-1. Porters came back to level at 2-2 with their own 40 and then beat 40 from Rollers on anchor with 41 to lead 3-2. They showed 44 but the Rollers made it 3-3 on anchor with 46 and regained the lead with a 43. Facing 34 from Porters the Rollers ran out victorious with 43. Simon Dimbylow had 53 and Julian May 51.

A show of 43 just won the fourth for a 4-0 lead. Bards won the fifth with 46 but short-lived success as Police won the game with a show of 39. Richard Morris had 38 and Diane Cox 40.

Bluecoat House opened with 39 but with Darren Rosser taking a 12sp in a 46 Jelly Beans won the leg. They showed back another 46 but Bluecoat levelled on anchor with 49 and took the lead with a 45. The Beans made it 2-2 with a show of 48 and facing 42 led 3-2 with 53. They showed 50 but a good leg of 57 took the score to 3-3. Bluecoat dropped to 34 and conceded the leg to a 45 Jelly Beans showed 49 to win the game as Bluecoat scored only 38. John Kelly had 51 and Paul Kemmery 53.

No hopers opened their season with a 42 which Ivory Toast failed to beat with only 33. They upped their game to show back 37 only to see No Hopers lead 2-0 on anchor with 40. A 44 made it 3-0 and facing 36 took it to 4-0 with 49. They may be relaxed to show 38 and Ivory took their leg on anchor with 40 but only showed back 39 and No Hopers took home the spoils with 46. Matt R James shared 39 with Stephane Perold and debutant Reece Reynolds 34.

Porters just took the opening leg with a show of 50 and facing 48 made it 2-0 on anchor with 51. They dropped to 43 and although the Rollers started slowly David Brown had a flopper with his first ball and took 14sp in a leg of 54 for the Rollers to pull a leg back. They showed 56 in the fourth to level. Porters hit 48 in the fifth but Rollers led 3-2 on anchor with 49 beating 48. A show of 54 won the sixth and facing 46 with 14sp from Martin Pratt the Rollers won with 56 including 12sp from Rob Barron. Martin Pratt had 51 and David Brown 54.

Police started with 32 and Bards led with a 37. They dropped to 25 Police levelled with 39. They dropped to 22 and Bards took full advantage to lead with 25. They showed back 33 only to see Police level on anchor with 36. Another 36 had Police leading despite a 9sp from Paddy Hopkins. Bards hit 40 in the sixth but with Stuart Neate having 13sp a leg of 53 saw Police lead 4-2. They dropped to 35 and Bards won the leg on anchor with 41. A lowly 34 was enough for the Bards to level at 4-4 facing only 33 in the final leg won the game with 40 but the point for pins could not be rescued. Stuart Neate had 59 as did Rog Northcott.

Jelly Beans opened with a 38 to take a 1-0 lead. Bluecoat hit back with 37 only to see Jelly Beans lead 2-0 with a 43. They dropped to 37 and Bluecoat won the leg on anchor with 40, and then a show of 41 levelled the game. Jelly Beans hit 44 with 9sp on anchor from Ian Humphries and just regained the lead against 43 from Bluecoat. Bluecoat hit 39 in the sixth but the Beans led 4-2 on anchor with 42. A show of 40 with 10sp from Paul Kemmery then won the game for Jelly Beans. Ian Humphries had 47 and Rob Davis 40.
