Police 252 v Ivory Toast 296
Police started proceedings with 39, but Ivory Toast took an early 4 pin lead with 43. They dropped to 35, and the Police pulled back 2 pins with a 37. They showed 39, but Ivory hit 42 and showed back 47. Disaster for Police as a leg of 22 had them trailing by 30 pins. They showed 34, and Ivory increased their lead to 40 pins with a leg of 44. A leg of 47 increased that to 46 pins, and the only consolation for Police, albeit small, was a 2 pin recovery on the final leg. Martha Neate had 40 and Chloe Burroughs 49.

No Hopers hit 45 to take an early 5 pin lead, and then the Rollers pulled back 2 pins with a 45. No Hopers then scored 49 against 37 from the Rollers and led by 15 pins. Twerton City Rollers hit 46 but No Hopers came back with 50 to lead by 19 pins. They gained another pin in the fifth and a further 4 pins in the sixth to lead by 24 pins. They dropped to 43 in the final leg, and Twerton City Rollers pulled back 9 pins with the highest of the evening, 52. Rob Sage had 45 and Rob Richardson 44.

Bluecoat House 276 v RUH Porters 251
Bluecoat scored 43 in the first leg and led by 12 pis as Porters only scored 31. They hit 38, but Bluecoat increased the lead to 16 pins with 42. They dropped to 33 in the third, and Porters reduced the deficit to 8 pins with 41. They dropped to 32, and Bluecoat led by 13 pins with 37. They showed 37, and Porters pulled back 4 pins, leaving them with a 41 to trail by 9 pins. They hit 38, and Bluecoat led by 18 pins with 47. A show of 37 then left Porters needing 56 to win. It was too much, and they fell away with 30 to lose by 25 pins. Paul Bowditch had 39, and Margaret Morris scored likewise.

Bards opened with 41 to take an early 5 pin lead, but then Jelly Beans hit back with a 44 to pull back 3 pins. Bards showed 47 to gain a further 2 pins and then beat a show of 39 with 50 to lead by 15 pins. They dropped to 40, and Jelly Beans reduced the deficit by 2 pins with a 43 and a 50 brought it down to 7 pins. Bards had to apply pressure on the final leg, and a 59 left Jelly Beans needing 67 to win. It was too much as they scored 47. Dick Newton had 45 and Darren Rosser 47.

Ivory Toast opened with 35, only to see Police lead with a 43, and their show of 40 had them leading 2-0. Ivory hit 40 to pull a leg back in the third, and facing 35 drew level at 2-2 on anchor with 39. A show of 42 then saw them lead, albeit just on a tie. Police then drew level at 3-3 with a 47. Ivory led again with 39, beating 35 and facing 42, won the game on anchor with 43. However, the point for pins had long gone. Keiron Sargent had 56 and Stuart Neate 49.

RUH Porters started proceedings with a 40 leg and led 1-0 against 38 from No Hopers. They responded with a 53, including 12sp on anchor from Rob Sage to level despite a good fight from Porters with 50. Porters hit 37 but No Hopers led with 45 and then showed 47 with 9sp from Rich Davey to take the score to 3-1. Porters hit 38, but No Hopers led 4-1 on anchor with 44, and then a show of 48 won the game. Graham Lock had 36 and Rob Sage 48.

Buoyed from beating the Rollers last week, a confident |Bluecoat took a 1-0 lead with a show of 38, just edging the leg. The Rollers hit back with 39 to level at 1-1, and facing 43 led 2-1 with a 54. A show of 41 was then just enough to lead 3-1. Bluecoat scored 48 to win the fifth and, facing only 31, levelled at 3-3 with a 40. They scored 43, but the Rollers led 4-3 with a 45 and showed back 48. It became 4-4 on anchor as Bluecoat hit 51. A final leg show of 53, then completed a first-ever double over Twerton City Rollers. Neil Sutton had 56 and Simon Dimbylow 57.

Jelly Beans scored 35 to lead as Bards hit only 29. They responded with a 37 and levelled on a tied leg but the Beans just regained the lead with 44. And then Bards levelled with a 42 and then beat 30 with another 42 to lead for the first time. They dropped to 30 and Jelly Beans levelled with a 37, including 11sp from Darren Rosser, and then led 4-3 on a tied leg of 40. Bards levelled with their own tied leg, this time a 37. They faced 43 in the final leg and lost as the task to score their highest of the evening proved too much. Darren Rosser had 59, and the anonymous skittler from Bards topped with 51.

Police won the opener 41-39, and then beat another 39 from Ivory on anchor with 40. A show of 58 then made it 3-0. Ivory won the fourth with a 48. Police hit 43 in the fifth to win the leg by one and then won the game on anchor, beating 42 with 45.

Police opened with 27, and Bards easily led with 47 and then made it 2-0 with a show of 44. Police won the third on a tied 41, but Bard won the fourth with a show of 44 and then beat 34 with 43 to lead 4-1. They dropped to 39, and Police won the sixth 46 and then the seventh on a tied 39. Bards hit 37 only to see Police draw level with a 46. Police showed 39, but Bards recovered with their highest of the evening to win the game with 49. Martin Williams had 57, and Mike Grigg had 57.

Bards won the opener with a show of 42 and, facing 46, made it 2-0 on anchor with 49. They showed 46, and it was 3-0 as the Beans failed with 34. They came back strongly with 45 to win the fourth, and, facing 47, pulled back to 2-3 on anchor with 48. They showed 45 but Bards led 4-2 with a very good 57. Sensing victory, Bards started strongly with Dick Newton having 14sp and a very strong team score of 60 won the game. Dick Newton had 56 and Darren Rosser 51.

The Rollers opened with 37 only to trail 1-0 as Bluecoat won the leg on anchor with 44. Bluecoat hit 47, but the Rollers took that leg on anchor with 49, and a show of 44 just gave them a 2-1 lead. Bluecoat levelled with a 52 and then beat 37 on anchor with 43 to lead 3-2. They showed 46 to win the sixth, but the Rollers came back to reduce the deficit to one leg with 47. Bluecoat hit 42, but that was sufficient to win the leg and the game. James Dowbiggin shared 46 with Paula Sage and Rob Davis 53.

Bluecoat won the fifth with 44 and, facing 41, took their second leg on anchor with 42. They showed 40, but Jelly Beans won the game with 55. Stuart Regan had 39 and Will Humphries 50.

No Hopers hit back in the third to win with a show of 48 and facing only 36 from Ivory, levelled at 2-2 with 50. They dropped to 42, and Ivory regained the lead with a leg of 46. They dropped to 40, and No Hopers levelled on anchor with 43. They showed back 39, and Ivory regained the lead with 41. A show of 49 was then sufficient to win the game. Charlie James topped with 52 and Marmaduke Hatfield 51.

Jelly Beans just won the fifth with a 34, only to see Bluecoat lead 4-2 with another 39. Jelly Beans scored 38 in the seventh to win the leg and then beat 30 with 46 to draw level at 4-4. A 36 was shown in the final leg, and that was just enough to win the game. Harry Keen had 47 and Neil Sutton 47.
