07/03/2022 Treasurers 1 (1) v Ivory Toast 5 (8)


Treasurers were off to disastrous start as a show of 28 was easily beat by Ivory Toast with 44. They led 2-0 as a show of 44 just won as Treasurers lost on a tied leg. They showed back 41 but a third 44 saw Ivory lead 3-0. They showed back 46 and led 4-0 as Treasurers just missed with 45. Treasurers hit 44 to win the fifth, but a 54 with 14sp from Chloe Burroughs won the game. Mark Stillman topped with 36 and T Duckworth 39.

07/03/2022 No Hopers 5 (8) v RUH Porters 0 (0)


No Hopers showed 44 to take an early lead against 39. Porters scored 38 and No Hopers made it 2-0 with 51. A show of 48 was enough for a 3-0 lead and facing 37 led 4-0 with 51. A show of 45 then completed the whitewash. Matt R James had 36 and Martin Pratt 29.

07/03/2022 Bards 5 (8) v Police 1 (1)


Bards opened with 49 and just led 1-0 as Police just missed out with 47. They show back 46 but Bards made it 2-0 with 52. A 55 made it 3-0 and facing only 36 took it to 4-0 on anchor with 41. They showed 48 but Police took their leg on anchor with 49. A drop to 43 but Bards had to win the game on anchor with 46. Mike Grigg had 41 and Martin Williams 37.

28/02/2022 Ivory Toast 3 (3) v Bards 5 (8)


Ivory showed 39 but Bards hit 51 to lead. They showed back 52 but Ivory levelled on anchor with 55. They dropped to 40 and Bards led on anchor with 41. A show of 46 then saw them lead 3-1. A leg of 53 won the fifth for Ivory and facing only 39 from Bards levelled with 52. They showed 46 but Bards led 4-3 with 55, but only showed back 43. Sadly for Ivory Toast a poor leg of 36 cost them the game. Imogen Mullet shared 51 with Marmaduke Hatfield and Andy Lanning 52 for Bards.

28/02/2022 No Hopers 5 (8) v Treasurers 2 (2)


No Hopers opened with 39 and easily led 1-0 against 32 from Treasurers, who then improved to show back 41. No Hopers beat that with46 and then showed 44. Treasurers beat that on anchor with 46 and a show of 46 made it 2-2. No Hopers hit 44 but unluckily for Treasurers they lost on a tied leg. Was that a turning point? Treasurers hit 44 but No Hopers led 4-2 on anchor with 45 and a show of 41 was enough for the spoils. Emily Cottle had 45 and Roger Rex 44

21/02/2022 Treasurers 5 (8) v Crazy Gang 2 (2)


Treasurers opened with a 44 to take a 1-0 lead. Facing 41 another 44 made it 2-0 on anchor. They dropped to 41 and Crazy Gang sneaked in on anchor to win the third with 42. They dropped to 36 and Treasurers led 3-1 with another 44. They hit 58 in the fifth including 13sp from Doug Sutton to lead 4-1. They faced 44 from Crazy Gang who took their second leg on a tie. Treasurers hit back with a 54 with Doug Sutton having another spare, this time 14 to win the game despite 11sp on anchor from Chris Spurrey. Doug Sutton had 60 and 40 was shared by Chris Lee and Callum Turner.

21/02/2022 Jelly Beans 5 (8) v Bards 2 (2)


Jelly Beans showed 26 but Bards took an early lead on anchor with 31. They showed back 32 but Jelly Beans levelled on anchor with 35. A show of 31 just saw them lead 2-1 and facing 38 from Bards made it 3-1 with a 45. Jelly Beans hit 31 and Bards won their second leg with a 37. They showed back 35 and Jelly Beans made it 4-2 on anchor with 39. A show of 36 was then just enough to win the game. Darren Rosser had 47 and Andy Lanning 38.

The Rollers led with a 41 but Porters levelled straightaway with a 38. The Rollers took the lead again with a 42 and led 3-1 beating 33 with 46. A show of 38 then took the score to 4-1. Porters hit back to just win the sixth leg with a show of 39 and facing 37 from the Rollers failed to save the game with a lowly 26. P Richardson had 45 and Martin Pratt 42

21/02/2022 No Hopers 5 (8) v Ivory Toast 0 (0)


No Hopers showed 34 and just led 1-0 as Ivory missed with 32. They showed back 39 but No Hopers scored 48 to lead 2-0. They scored 39, but only led 3-0 on a tied leg. Ivory came back with 37 but No Hopers took 4 4-0 lead on anchor with 38. A show of 47 then won the game. Matt R James had 36 and Kieron Sargent 36.

07/02/2022 RUH Porters 2 (2) v Police 5 (8)


RUH Porters showed 38 and Police led 1-0 on anchor with a 39. A drop to 32 let Porters level with a 40, who then showed 38. Police beat that with 49 to regain the lead and showed back 39. Porters levelled again with their own 49, but then dropped to 40. Police led 3-2 with a 46 and a show of 43 took it to 4-2. Porters hit 42 but with A Player taking a 14sp a 49 won the game for Police. Graham Lock had 45 and A Player 52.

07/02/2022 Ivory Toast 4 (4) v TCR 5 (8)


Ivory opened with 47 to just take an early lead and facing 43 made it 2-0 with a 51. They dropped to 43 and the Rollers took full advantage to win the third with 48. A show of 56 with 14sp from Rob Barron then levelled the game at 2-2. A pair of 53’s then saw Ivory lead 4-2 before a drop to 42 let Rollers in to win the seventh with 50. A 44 with 10sp from R Richardson was good enough to level at 4-4 and facing 41 from Ivory let Rollers in to win the game with 52. Marmaduke Hatfield had 59 and Andrew Richman 62.

07/02/2022 Crazy Gang 5 (8) v Jelly Beans 4 (4)


Crazy Gang hit 54 in the opener to lead but facing 46 from Jelly Beans failed with 38. They showed 55 to take the lead 2-1 and facing 47 led 3 -1 with a 54. They showed 45 but Jelly Beans won the leg with 48 and a show of 51 levelled the game at 3-3. Crazy Gang led 4-3 with a 52 but a 55 from Jelly Beans took it to 4-4. Crazy Gang showed 51 on the final leg and that was just enough to win the game as Jelly Beans lost with 48. Callum Turner had 65 and Jane 59.

07/02/2022 Bards 4 (4) v No Hopers 5 (8)


Bards opened with 44 only to see No Hopers lead on anchor with 46. They dropped to 40 and Bards levelled with 48 and showed 48. No Hopers beat that that on anchor with 50 but a show of 43 wasn’t enough as Bards made it 2-2 on anchor with 45. They showed back 40 and No Hopers led 3-2 with 52. They dropped to 40 and with Rich Morris having 17sp Bards levelled at 3-3. They hit 51 to just take the lead but No Hopers made it 4-4 on the narrowest of margins with a tied leg of 48. Bards hit 46 on the final leg but No Hopers won the game with 57. Ric Morris had 68 and Joe Rich 59.

No Hopers, inspired by the return of their captain, opened with 49 to lead 1-0. Bards hit another 39 only to see No Hopers take a 2-0 lead on anchor with 45. A show of 50 then increased the lead to 3-0. Bards hit 42 in the fourth, and though No Hopers struggled they secured a 4-0 lead on anchor with 43. They showed back 44 and Bards went well but unfortunately just missed out saving the game by tying the leg. Rich Davey shared 32 with Rob Sage and Andy Lanning had 29.

31/01/2022 Jelly Beans 5 (8) v Crazy Gang 0 (0)


Jelly Beans scored 36 and led as Crazy Gang just missed out with 32. They showed back 33 but Jelly Beans made it 2-0 on anchor with 35. They showed 33 to lead 3-0 as the Gang only scored 22. They recovered to show 31 but Jelly Beans won another leg on anchor, this time with 36. They hit 38 in the fifth but unfortunately Crazy Gang lost on a tied leg. Ian Humphries had 33 and Chris Spurrey 27.

The Rollers opened with 37 but Ivory led on anchor with 41. They showed back 41 but the Rollers levelled on anchor themselves with 45. A drop to 37 allowed Ivory to lead 2-1 on anchor with 39. They showed 49 with 14sp on anchor from Marmaduke Hatfield to increase the lead to 3-1. The Rollers hit back to win the fifth with 37 and levelled in the sixth beating 41 on anchor with 46. They dropped to 36 and Ivory took full advantage on anchor to lead with a 40. They showed back 36 and the Rollers just scaped home on anchor to level at 4-4 with 37. A poor show of 28 in the final leg gave Ivory the chance which they grabbed to win the game with 33. Andrew Richman shared 56 with P Matthews and Marmaduke Hatfield 65

Treasurers opened with a good 45 to take an early lead. RUH Porters came back with 44 and levelled as Treasurers just missed out with42. They dropped to 36 and Porters led with a 48. They showed back 46 and Treasurers just missed out again with 44. They dropped to 35 and Porters stunned them with a winning leg of 61 that included spares of 14 and 12 from en Fry and Dave Clarke. The Rollers opened with 42 to lead 1-0 and then faced 37 from Bards. They took that one with 40 and s show of 43 easily won as Bards dropped to 30. They came back to show 42 but the Rollers took a 4-0 lead on anchor with 45. They dropped to 36 in the fifth but Bards struggled throughout and lost the game with 34. Paula Sage had 36 and Mike Grigg 29.

RUH Porters showed an opening leg of 44 which Treasurers failed to beat with 40, who then dropped to show 35. Porters made it 2-0 with 47 including 10sp on anchor from A Nother. They then showed back 37. Treasurers were struggling and conceded a 3-0 deficit with a tied leg. They showed back 39 but Porters led 4-0 on anchor with 43. A show of 42 was just enough to secure their first win of the season against Treasurers 41. A Nother had35 and Roger Rex 35.

Jelly Beans opened proceedings with 30 but No Hopers took an early lead with a 33. They showed back 36 to gain a 2-0 advantage. Jelly Beans dropped to 26 and No Hopers made it 3-0 with 36. Another 36 made it 4-0 and facing only 19 won the game with yet another 36. Ian Humphries had 30 and Chris James 29.

17/01/2022 Bards 5 (8) v Twerton City Rollers 3 (3)


Bards hit 49 to take an early lead and facing 45 from the Rollers made it 2-0 on anchor with another 49. They dropped to 39 and the Rollers won the leg on anchor with a 44 They showed back a 39 and this time it was the turn of Bards to win a leg on anchor with 42. A drop to show 41 let the Rollers in with 48 but their show of 41 was won by Bards on anchor with 42. They hit 39 and the Rollers took their third with a 43. Sadly, a drop to 36 let Bards in to win with a 48. Rog Northcott had 57 and Andrew Richman 54.

17/01/2022 Ivory Toast 4 (4) v Police 5 (8)


Ivory showed 34 but Police led with a 41. They showed 39 and Ivory levelled on anchor with 40. They dropped to 35 and Police took the leg on anchor with 37. They showed back 32 and Ivory made it 2-2 on anchor with 35. They led 3-2 with a 43 with Kieron Sergant taking a 15sp despite Paul Needham having 13sp for Police. A 37 from Police took it to 3-3 before a show of 31 was enough for Ivory to led 4-3 on a tied leg. Police hit back with 43 to level at 4-4 and faced only 27 from Ivory. It was a struggle for Police but they managed to win the game on anchor with 30. Kieron Sergant had 61 and Martin Williams 59

No Hopers showed 42 and led 1-0 with Crazy Gang having 40. The Gang showed back 45 only to see No Hopers win the leg on anchor with 51 to lead 2-0. No Hopers dropped to 42 and Crazy Gang won the third on anchor with 43. They showed 42 but it was beaten with 45 and then a show of 48 made it 4-1, albeit on a tied leg. Razy Gang won the sixth with 42 and beat 43 with 47 to trail 3-4. They showed 39 but No Hopers won the game with 49. Matt R James had 50 and Connor Turner 53.

Treasurers showed 36 and Bards took the lead on anchor with 38. They showed 53 and though Treasurers went well they trailed 2-0 with 50. They then showed 50 thanks to 12sp from Roger Rex to win the third. Bards came back to show 47 and just won the leg and facing 39 from Treasurers led 4-1 with 49. A show of 46 then won the game. Roger Rex had 39 and Mike Grigg 43.

RUH Porters opened with a good 48 but Crazy Gang took the lead on anchor with 50 and a show of 54 just took the score to 2-0. Porters showed 48 but Crazy Gang increased their lead to 3-0 with a leg of 52. They dropped to 46 even with 12sp from Rob Lee but Porters failed to take advantage losing the leg with 45. They showed 52 and took their only leg on a tie but Crazy Gang won the game with a show of 44. Eddie Kearns had 40 and Steve Sherlock 47.

The Rollers led 1-0 with 34 against 33 but a show of 36 from No Hopers saw them level. The Rollers came back with 43 to regain the lead and facing 29 in the fourth only made it 3-1 on anchor with 31. They showed 39 to lead 4-1 and facing 33 won the game with 43. Simon Dimbylow had 36 and Joe Rich 34.

Bards opened with a show of 51 but Treasurers led on anchor with 52. They dropped to 44 in the second but took a 2-0 lead when Bards failed with 43. They raised their game to show 58 to win the third and facing only 30 drew level at 2-2 with 49. A show of 53 then saw them lead 3-2. Treasurers hit 50 in the sixth to level but Bards regained the lead with a show of 54. Treasurers made it 4-4 on a tied 47 and faced 57 from Bards. A very poor leg of 29 ended the game. Rich Morris had 69 and Mark Stillman 56.

06/12/2021 Crazy Gang 5 (8) v RUH Porters 3 (3)


Crazy Gang showed 49, and though RUH Porters went well they just trailed with a 48. They showed back 45 but another 49 saw the Gang lead 2-0. They hit 50 but Porters took the third on anchor with 55. They showed back 52 and that was sufficient to pull level as the Gang scored 42. The Gang regained the lead with a 57 but back came Porters with 51 to level at 3-3. Crazy Gang hit 45 to just win the seventh against 45 and facing 46 won the game on anchor with 51 which also included a 13sp from Callum Turner. He topped with 71 and Andy Bond 52.

Jelly Beans showed 24 in the opener and won the leg by one. Police came back with 26 to then level the game. Jelly Beans took the lead again with 30 but a show of 29 from Police levelled at 2-2. The Beans showed 22 but Police led 3-2 on anchor with 24. They dropped to show 22 and the Beans took it to 3-3 with 29. A 40 show saw the Beans lead 4-3 and just won the game on anchor with 31 after facing 30. Darren Rosser shared 45 with Ian Humphries

They dropped to 26 and Jelly Beans made it 4-0 with 36. They drooped to 30 and Treasurers seized their chance for a leg to hop home on with 38. They returned a 37 but Jelly Beans won the leg and game on anchor with 40. Ian Humphries had 39 and Doug Sutton proved his transfer with 33.

Crazy Gang scored 45 but the Rollers led on anchor with a 47. A drop to 42 let the Gang in and with Chris Spurrey having 12sp on anchor with 46 and the game was level. They showed 50 but the Rollers led on anchor with 43. They dropped to 42 but led 3-1 as the Gang just missed out with 40. A 45 looked good but the Rollers took yet another leg on anchor with 49 to lead 4-1 and a 48 show won the game. Chris Spurrey shared 43 with Connor Turner and Jim Rose 43.

29/11/2021 Ivory Toast 5 (8) v RUH Porters 1 (1)


Ivory Toast opened with 41 including a fine 9sp from Karen Sargeant and led 1-0. Porters showed 43 but the Toast led 2-0 on anchor with 48 thanks to anchor-man Marmaduke Hatfield having a 14sp. A show of 47 then made it 3-0. Porters raised their game and a show of 42 took the fourth. The Toast came back with 46 to win the fifth but then faced 52 from Porters that included 12sp from Andy Bond. The Toast started well with a 9 and a 12sp from SRV. It came down to the anchor needing a 9 to win the leg and game. This Marmaduke Hatfield duly did, although Porters had every right to feel a little unlucky. Nick Houston, SRV and Marmaduke Hatfield all shared 43 and Andy Bond scored 45.

22/11/2021 Police 1 (1) v No Hopers 5 (8)


Police showed 45 only to see No Hopers lead on anchor with 48 and then a show back of 50 made it 2-0. Police could only show 41 but won the leg as No Hopers just failed with 39. They showed 43 and Police missed out with 37 to trail 3-1. They showed 40 but again No Hopers won a leg on anchor, this time with 45. A show of 48 was sufficient to win the leg and game. Stuart Neate shared 40 with Chris Williams and Rob Sage 44.

The Rollers hit an opening leg of 36 but only led on a tied leg. Crazy Gang showed 34 and saw the Rollers lead 2-0 with a 40. A show of 46 then took the score to 30. The Gang hit 39 but the Rollers led 4-0 on anchor with 42. They showed 40 and though the Gang scored well they were a little unlucky to lose the leg and the game on a tie. Paula Sage shared 32 with Andrew Richman and Kevin Turner had 34.

Full of confidence after their first win the previous week, Ivory Toast took the lead with a 34. Crazy Gang came back with 38 but Ivory led 2-0 on anchor with 40. A show of 41 with 9sp from Dom Hall then took the score to 3-0. The Gang managed only 30 and Ivory made it 4-0 with 36 and the a 48 completed the win. Dom Hall had 32 and Bryan Burrows 28.

The Rollers opened proceedings with a 39, good enough to take the lead against 33 from Police. They showed back 25 and the Rollers led 2-0 with 33. A show of 37 then took the score to 3-0. Police were struggling and could only show 28 which the Rollers easily beat with 40. They dropped to 30 and Police took full advantage to pull one back with 34. They then showed a 34 but it needed Rollers to win the leg and game. Paula Sage had 48 and Stuart Neate 37.

RUH Porters showed 35 but Jelly Beans took the lead on anchor with 36. They showed back 45 and led 2-0. Porters hit 39 but again Jelly Beans took the leg on anchor for a 3-0 advantage. A show of 44 then took it to 4-0. Porters came back strongly in the fifth to show 53 with 13sp from Henry Guscott to take the leg and then beat 38 with 47 to pull back to 2-4. Sadly the recovery stalled and Jelly Beans beat a show of 37 with 45 to win the game. Dennis Morris had 48 and Paul Kemmery 49.

The Gang showed 31 and Ivory just managed to lead on anchor with 32. They then showed 38 to lead 2-0. Crazy Gang recovered to win the third with a 42, but with a 46 including 13sp on anchor from Marmaduke Hatfield the Toast led 3-1. A show of 40 then had them leading 4-1. Ivory Toast only scored 30 in the sixth, and Crazy Gang took the leg on anchor with 31. A show of 34 won them the seventh and facing a lowly 27 levelled at 4-4 with 41. They dropped to 28 and No Hopers regained the lead with 36 and then a show of 34 took it to 3-1. Porters showed 30 which No Hopers beat with 43including 12sp from Stephane Perold who then won the game with a 32. Eddie Kearns had 40 and Stephane Perold 45.

18/10/2021 Police 3 (4) v Treasurers 5 (7)


Police hit 41 and just took the leg as Treasurers scored 40. Treasurers showed 45 boosted by 12sp from lead off Jon Monks. They levelled as Police just missed with 45. Police came back with 46 with 14sp from Stu Neate to lead 2-1 and led 3-1 beating 39 with 49. They dropped to 39 and Treasurers won the fifth with 46 and then a show of 35 levelled at 3-3. Police scored 38 but Treasures led on anchor with a 44. A show off 44 then secured an away victory over Police for the first time in thirty two and a half years. Stu Neate had 61 and Roger Rex 52.

18/10/2021 Ivory Toast 1 (1) v Jelly Beans 5 (8)


Ivory opened with 53 but Jelly Beans led with 64 and a show of 54 made it 2-0. The Toast came back with 53 but with spares of 12 and 15 from Jay Springer and Darren Rosser a 62 made it 3-0. They showed 57 with 9sp from both Anton and I Marsh but Ivory Toast won the leg on anchor, Henry Duckworth having 13sp in a 65. They showed 48 with 16sp from Henry Duckworth but Jelly Beans won the leg with 52 including 10sp from Jay Springer. A show of 49 then won the game. Henry Duckworth had 51 and Darren Rosser 50.

18/10/2021 Bards 5 (8) v Crazy Gang 4 (4)


Bards opened with 50 but with Heather Turner having a 14sp a 57 won the leg for the Crazy Gang. With Mike Turner leading off with 11sp the Gang made it 2-0 with 58. Bards hit 51 in the third and though Chris Spurrey had 14sp on anchor the Gang lost the leg with 47. They showed 49 to then lead 3-1. Bards won the fifth with 49 that had 13sp on anchor from Andy Lanning and levelled in the sixth with 54. They dropped to 43 and the Gang took full advantage to lead 4-3 with a 50. Heather Turner had 10sp in a leg of 50 but Bards took it to 4-4 with a 51. In the final leg they showed 56 with 13sp from Mike Grigg to win the game. Andy Lanning had 62 as did Chris Spurrey.

11/10/2021 Treasurers 3 (3) v Police 5 (8)


In their season opener on the new alley Treasurers showed no sign of rustiness after an eighteen-month delay to win the opening leg with a 36. Police came back to show 43 and level, but a 40 from Treasurers saw them lead 2-1. Police pulled level with 45 and facing 40 took a 3-2 lead on anchor with 44 including 11sp from Stuart Neate. A low show of 33 still won the sixth for them but Treasurers came back to trail 3-4 with a 41. Police showed 35 and Treasurers tailed off in the final stages to concede the game. Mark Stillman had a fine 50 and Martin Williams 54.

11/10/2021 Crazy Gang 5 (7) v Bards 4 (5)


Crazy Gang took a close opening leg 50-49 to lead 1-0. Bards came back strongly with a 54 to level and then beat a 47 with 57 to take the lead. They showed a 50 and that was sufficient to lead 3-1. Crazy Gang came back in the fifth with a 57 to pull back to 2-3, but Bards led 4-2 with a 45. Crazy Gang hit a 51 to win the seventh and then faced 47 in the eighth. Crazy Gang levelled at 4-4 on anchor with 48 and showed a 55 in the final leg. Bards went well but just failed with a 51 but that was enough to win the point for pins. Mike Turner had 62 and Rich Morris 64.
