Twerton City Rollers 2 (2) v No Hopers 5 (8)
Twerton City Rollers opened their home season with a leg of 45 to just lead 1-0. No Hopers hit back with 50 to level, but the Rollers led 2-1 on a tied 48. No Hopers didn’t buckle and a show of 51 just levelled the game at 2-2 despite debutant James Stuffins having 10sp in a 50. The Rollers hit 42 but No Hopers led for the first time at 3-2 on anchor with 46. They showed back 47 to lead 4-2 against 41 from the Rollers and showed 43. No Hopers ran out winners to complete the double with 50. Andy Richman had 48 and Matt R James 50.

Jelly Beans 5 (8) v Bluecoat House 1 (1)
Jelly Beans hit 38t o just lead1-0 and facing 31 from Bluecoat made it 2-0 on anchor with 34. Their own 31 just took the third by one pin but 34 from Bluecoat won them their leg. Jelly Beans showed 41 in the fifth to lead 4-1 and facing only 23 won the game with 48 that included 15sp from captain Darren Rosser. He topped with 38 and Doud Sutton 29.

Police 2 (2) v RUH Porters 5 (8)
Police showed 42 to lead 1-0 but a 48 from RUH Porters levelled at 1-1. Police dropped in the third to 29 and Porters took the lead with 35 and a show of 39 saw the lead increase to 3-1. Police hit 43 to win the fifth by one, but Porters led 4-2 with a 41. Police then showed 37 to try and take the game into an eighth leg but Porters won the game on anchor with 40. Chris Williams had 38 and Malcolm Cleverley turned back the years with 42.

Ivory Toast 5 (8) v Bards 2 (2)
Ivory Toast opened their home season with 40 but Bards were off to a flier taking the opening leg on anchor with 47. They dropped to show 36 and Ivory levelled with 51. They showed back 58, and though Bards scored well, and with the evergreen Mike Knight having a 12sp, they just missed out with a 57 to trail 2-1. They showed 51 and looked to be winning the leg until Chloe Burroughs hit a magnificent 15sp on anchor in a leg of 58 for Ivory to lead 3-1. They dropped to 43 and Bards took full advantage to pull back to trail 3-2 with 50. They showed 42 and Ivory led 4-2 with 55 and a 53 saw them home and dry. Chloe Burroughs had 59 and Mike Knight 47.

Bards 5 (8) v Ivory Toast 2 (2)
A new season under way at Weston Ex-Servicemens and Bards were off to a flier with an opening winning leg of 51 against 39. Ivory Toast showed back 47 but another leg of 51 made it 2-0 on anchor. Bards showed a 48 and that was sufficient for a 3-0 lead. Ivory hit 49 in the fourth to pull a leg back, but Bards hit back with a 50 to lead 4-1. Ivory hit 51 and won their second leg as Bards conceded on a tie. Bards were undaunted by that and showed 53 to win the game. Andy Lanning topped with 52 and Chloe Burroughs 45.

No Hopers 5 (8) v Twerton City Rollers 4 (4)
No Hopers started their season with a 43 but Twerton City Rollers led 1-0 on anchor with 44. A show back of 47 just made it 2-0. No Hopers hit 44 in the third, but the Rollers led 3-0 on anchor with 46. They dropped to 34 and No Hopers fightback started with a leg of 55 including a spare of 13 from Matt R James, and then a show of 48 won their second leg. The Rollers hit 40 in the sixth, but No Hopers levelled at 3-3 with a 47 and went to a 4-3 lead with 45. The Rollers hit back with 47 to level at 4-4, but No Hopers sensed victory was theirs and a final leg show of 51 won the game. Martt R James had 65 and Simon Dimbylow 56.
